Annual HF Championship Rules 2024

RT1

1.- Organizers: Unión de Radioaficionados Españoles (URE).

2.- Objective: To promote and encourage participation in the HF contests organized by URE and give a prize to the best all-round national operator in all the contests.

3.- Contests: The following contests will be used to score this year:

EA PSK63 (9-10 march)

EA RTTY (6-7 april)

His Majesty King of Spain CW (18-19 may)

His Majesty King of Spain SSB (22-23 june)

CNCW (20-21 july) – Only for EA stations or DX stations that TX from EA, EA6, EA8 and EA9.

CME (10-11 august)

4.- Categories:

EA.- Mono-operator Multiband High Power

EA.- Mono-operator Multiband Low Power

EA.- Mono-operator Multiband QRP

DX.- Mono-operator Multiband High Power

DX.- Mono-operator Multiband Low Power

DX.- Mono-operator Multiband QRP

NOTE: For scoring purposes in this championship, the points obtained in each different category (HP, LP, QRP) in the different contents entered, are not accumulative, they count for each respective category independently.

(E.G. a station enters two contests in HP and wins both, another two contests in LP and wins both, and another two in QRP and wins both, for championship points the station would have 100 points in each of the 3 different categories)

5.- Points: In each contest, the first 50 stations will receive points as follows: 1st) 50 points 2nd) 49 points 3rd) 48 points 4th) 47 points 5th) 46 points 6th) 45 points 7th) 44 points 8th) 43 points 9th) 42 points…. And so on up to the 50th station who will receive 1 point.

Dx stations will only receive points for 5 contests, except if they take part in the CNCW from within EA, given that the CNCW contest is only open to participants within EA.

6.- Prizes:

EA STATIONS

First prize: A transceiver from sponsor PROYECTO 4, based on the following criteria:

• The station of the three categories with the highest number of points at the end of the championship.
• In case of a draw, the winner will be the station with the highest number of contests won
• In the case there is still a draw, the winner will be the one with the highest number of contest points obtained during the championship (contest points, as opposed to championship points).
• And if finally there is still a draw, the winner will be whoever has scored in the biggest number of contests organized by URE in the last 10 years

Second prize: a plaque for the second station

• The station of the three categories with the highest number of points at the end of the championship.
• In case of a draw, the winner will be the station with the highest number of contests won
• In the case there is still a draw, the winner will be the one with the highest number of contest points obtained during the championship (contest points, as opposed to championship points).
• And if finally there is still a draw, the winner will be whoever has scored in the biggest number of contests organized by URE in the last 10 years

Third prize: A pdf award for the first 10 stations in each of the championship categories, HP, LP, and QRP

DX STATIONS

First prize: A plaque for the first station

• The station of the three categories with the highest number of points at the end of the championship.
• In case of a draw, the winner will be the station with the highest number of contests won
• In the case there is still a draw, the winner will be the one with the highest number of contest points obtained during the championship (contest points, as opposed to championship points).
• And if finally there is still a draw, the winner will be whoever has scored in the biggest number of contests organized by URE in the last 10 years

• The station of the three categories with the second highest number of points at the end of the championship.
• In case of a draw, the winner will be the station with the highest number of contests won
• In the case there is still a draw, the winner will be the one with the highest number of contest points obtained during the championship (contest points, as opposed to championship points).
• And if finally there is still a draw, the winner will be whoever has scored in the biggest number of contests organized by URE in the last 10 years

Third prize: A pdf award for all participant in each of the championship categories, HP, LP, and QRP

7.- In order to qualify for the prizes: EA stations must have participated in at least 5 of the 6 contests which make to the championship.

For DX stations, 4 out of 5.

Stations who have been disqualified, or whose logs have been reclassified, in any of the contests which are part of the championship, are ineligible for and prize, plaque, or diploma.
