Sponsored by: Unión de Radioaficionados Españoles (URE).

To participate in this contest, the specific bases of the competition must be complied with, as well as the General Regulation of URE Competitions.

Objective: The objective of the contest is to promote activity on HF, contact the largest possible number of stations from different municipalities, and promoting the DME permanent award organized by URE.

Participants: Any licensed amateur station.

Dates: 2nd full weekend of August, from 12:00 UTC Saturday until 22:59 UTC, and from 05:00 UTC until 11:59 UTC Sunday (10-11 August 2024).

Mode: SSB.

Bands: 10, 15, 20, 40 and 80 meters, in the segments recommended by the IARU for this mode.

Categories:

1. Single Operator All band EA, High Power (SINGLE-OP ALL HIGH).

2. Single Operator All band EA Low Power (SINGLE-OP ALL LOW).

3. Single Operator All band EA QRP (SINGLE-OP ALL QRP).

4. Single Operator All band EA YOUTH (SINGLE-OP ALL YOUTH).

5. Single Operator All band EA Expeditioner (SINGLE-OP ALL EXP).

6. Single Operator All band DX, High Power (SINGLE-OP ALL HIGH).

7. Single Operator All band DX Low Power (SINGLE-OP ALL LOW).

8. Single Operator All band DX QRP (SINGLE-OP ALL QRP).
9. Single Operator All band DX YOUTH (SINGLE-OP ALL YOUTH).

NOTES:

High Power (legal maximum limit of the license for each country), Low Power (up to 100W peak) and QRP (up to 5w maximum).

Use of the cluster is allowed in all categories. Self spotting, ask others to announce you on the cluster, or covert ads, are prohibited and will lead to disqualification.

Only one callsign on the air is allowed.

Single Operator Multiband Expeditionary Category EA is intended for participants from Expeditions Portable or Mobile (DME, Trig point, Castle, Ermita, etc …) working the Contest.

Any participant in the Single Operator Multiband Expeditionary EA category will receive an endorsement for all the municipalities worked during the contest.

Valid contacts:

Contacts may be made with any station worldwide.

Every station can be contacted once per band.

Operation from mobile is allowed, provided that is operation is from the same municipality throughout the contest.

A station must appear in at least two submitted logs in order to be valid for points and multipliers.

To participate in the YOUTH category, the age will be a maximum of 25 years old.

Exchange: Spanish stations: RS (T) and number of the municipality. EA4URE will pass the abbreviation HQ. DX stations: RS (T) and serial number beginning with 001.

EA are considered stations all stations broadcasting from Spanish territory, whatever the prefix used.

Points: One (1) point per QSO.

Multipliers:

– Each Spanish municipality counts as a multiplier once per band.

– Official station EA4URE (HQ) counts as a multiplier once per band.

Final score: Sum of points multiplied by the sum of multipliers.

Awards:

– Trophy and paper certificate for champions in each category.

– Paper certificate to those who achieve a minimum of 200 QSO.

– Award in downloadable PDF from the web for achieving a minimum of 100 QSO.

EA Special Prize: The winners in the categories SOAB and MM will get the opportunity to operate in the 2024 edition, from the Multiplier and HQ station of URE “EA4URE” located in Avda. Monte Igueldo 102 – Madrid.

Logs: All logs must be submitted electronically in cabrillo format.

Log sending instructions: The log-file is to be submitted in Cabrillo-format via https://concursos.ure.es/en/logs/

The receipt of the log will be automatically confirmed by an email with a message of possible errors in the log. You will receive your UBN-file by email.

Submitted logs will form part of the GDURE (URE logbook, used for automatic award validation purposes).

Logs must be received by 26th August 2024 (15 days). Any logs submitted after that date will not be valid. Any logs submitted after that date will be used as a checklog.

Your comments and anecdotes will be welcome.

Automatic Endorsement: A participating station in possession of the Diploma Municipalities of Spain (DME) will have the information obtained during the competition endorsed automatically. This applies to all lists received in which a two-way QSO is verified.

General information:

Submitting an entry to this contest implies full acceptance of the rules, and the following decisions taken by the organising committee, accepted and authorised by URE:

All logs submitted can be made fully public (Radioaficionados magazine and URE website), in order to be checked and to verify contacts between participants.

Photos of participation in the contest which are submitted can be used for publication in the Radioaficionados magazine and the URE website.

Results are made public in the Radioaficionados magazine and on the URE website, diplomas being available for downloading on the website.

If deemed necessary, information may be requested to other organisations outside URE, with the aim of pursuing unsportsmanlike conduct.

When any unsportsmanlike conduct is detected, the organising committee will take the most appropriate action in each case.
